Group 2 Recap 5-29-2009

Alrighty, so Group 2 met up a few hours ago and did a large amount of hitting. If you are sore, I'm sorry. It's good for ya :)

We only had 9 people show so it was a little quiet in the gym for awhile but we got in the swing of things pretty quickly. (And literally... ba ding ding!! thats my drum roll, you'll get used to it.) Everyone was video taped individually and we took a look at form and where improvements could be made. I think there is quite a bit of potential among the younger group. Well there is quite a bit of potential among the old hags too but I'm not talking about them at the moment.

So in the end we played a "hit until you miss" game, no tips/no tape and although I was busy going through video tape with individual players, other coaches mentioned a couple people who had some nice hitting streaks. Kellie and Marina both did some nice approaches and really hit the ball well. I saw Kasara get a hold of a couple herself.

We had a group of outsides that thought the were cute little birdies as they dug and transitioned, I think the biggest improvement of the night goes to that group. The went from moving like cute little birdies to crouching tiger hidden dragon.

So one thing I forgot to tell you all is that Alicia is getting married in 43 days. If you find yourself in her company again soon be sure to say congratulations and thank her for spending time with us when she could be planning her wedding. Make sure you thank Abby too, she is nice enough to find a babysitter just to come watch you all improve. And Steve too, although I must say I enjoy when he says things like, "oh I just need 30 more seconds" because he does that to me all the time "hurry Jayme! Are you almost finished Jayme? Put your shoes on faster Jayme!" haha... it is good for him to be rushed sometimes :)

Well I suppose thats it. Once again, sorry if you can't walk tomorrow. It will get better I swear. It will probably get worse before it gets better though.
