Kodiak
Tonight we host Kodiak and we are having a potluck. Each team is responsible for bringing in some food. I think this is the plan:
C-Team - Salads
JV - Main Dishes
Varsity - Desserts

Chugiak Invite Recap
So Varsity took 4th in the Gold Bracket of the Chugiak Invite on Saturday. They played hard, but I know they've got 1st in them.
A few things I think I'd like to mention include Mallory owning the net all day. She put up some blocks, and had a ton of kills... wish we were taking stats because it would have been a real impressive number. I have to mention that Danielle went superstar-setter on us just by going to her X before she made any attempt at a set. All of a sudden she was making jumpsets and saving balls that were passed right on top of the net out. She was able to push them out to the 4 for some kills. So way to go Danielle! Lots and lots of other things could be discussed, but we've got 4 games this week so I wont bombard you with just the one post.
Last thing - I am a big fan of the Shank cheer Chantel brought with her. It is a nice change.

9-3-09 Palmer vs. East - Superfan Night
So our first home game is right around the corner. 9-3-09 vs. East. The first game of the year is going to be a Superfan Night.
What is a superfan night? Well thanks for asking! A superfan night is where we try to get the gym as packed as possible with Palmer supporters. We want to be able to completely drown out the other teams cheering section.
It is up to each team to bring in as many fans as possible. Take the cards I've given you and cut them up into 18 invitations. Whichever team has the most fans bring thier invites back to us on game day will win a pizza party. The fans will have the chance to win a pizza as well, and it's going to be a lot of fun.
